Braided Futures™
Braided Futures™ is Foster Her Crown®s youth education and workforce development initiative that introduces children and teens to leadership, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, career exploration, and the cultural artistry of braiding.
Designed for elementary, middle school, and high school students, the program partners with schools, education and treatment facilities, Boys & Girls Clubs, after-school programs, youth development organizations, and other community-based programs to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Through interactive workshops and project-based learning, participants build confidence, strengthen life and leadership skills, explore career pathways, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset while celebrating culture, creativity, and self-expression.

Young people need more than academic instruction — they need real exposure to leadership, entrepreneurship, and career pathways before they age out of the systems meant to support them. Braided Futures™ meets students where they are, using culturally rooted braiding education as a hands-on gateway to financial literacy, workforce readiness, and confidence.
