Mentorship & Resource Navigation
Mentorship & Resource Navigation exists because many of us grew up without someone to call when life shifted overnight. Our goal is to be that steady voice on the other end of the line for youth, survivors, and community members in transition.
Participants are paired with mentors who understand instability-from foster care moves to housing loss-and know how to walk through it without judgment. Together, they identify immediate needs, long-term goals, and the resources that can bridge the gap, whether that is a training program, mental health support, or a path into beauty and braiding education.
We do not just hand over a list of phone numbers; we practice scripts, fill out forms together, and follow up to see what actually worked. Every interaction is trauma-informed, honoring each person's pace and boundaries. Mentorship & Resource Navigation turns confusion into a plan, and isolation into a sense of community and possibility.
